Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ: 

​

I give thanks for the amazing gift to be able to return to American Lutheran Church to serve again as Youth Ministry Coordinator! 

I first began serving ALC in the summer of 2006, just weeks after we opened and dedicated this beautiful church and I was here until the spring of 2008. During my tenure, amazing Christ-filled ministry took place with our young people. We had a thriving group of upper elementary school students and a nice group of junior high/confirmation age students. We met regularly to discuss how God worked through our lives, completed service projects, attended retreats and shared in abundant hours of laughter and fun! 

After leaving ALC I went to work for five years in the corporate sector. In August of 2009 my wife, Katie, and I became parents, to our first-born son, Cooper and we were blessed in 2013 at the birth of our second son, Carter. For the last number of years, I have been serving as a teacher’s assistant for a private school here in town and I am currently in my second year at Beecher Junior High, where I am also the head cross-country and track coach. 

Since leaving ALC I have been a very active member and served as family ministry leader and as pastoral associate at St. George Church. I truly enjoy the “bells and smells” and traditions of the Catholic church, but have always appreciated (and am glad to be back apart of) the social justice and sense of God’s grace given to us as rooted in the ELCA. 

Over the next few weeks it will be crucial for me to reconnect with the wonderful friends I have known since way back when, but it will be even more important for me to become acquainted with new faces-- especially our youth; please help me to get to know each you! 

As we move forward, I will be here a number of weekends each month, where I be giving the Children’s sermon and dropping in to Religious Ed classes to better get to know the kids. I will also have office hours and will lead groups during the week in the evenings—please continue to watch for more information of events, which will be coming soon!
