YOUTH AND CHILDREN MINISTRY at ALC

Young disciples are nurtured in faith at ALC!

In baptism, kids are welcomed into the community of new life as children of God! ​

​​

In First Communion, kids are welcomed to Jesus' table to share God's grace.

​​

In Sunday School, kids sing, pray, serve, and learn together about the Bible, God, and who they are as Spirit-filled followers of Jesus.

​​

Kids lead us in mission as they raise funds to share God's love with their neighbors through ELCA Good Gifts and Sleep In Heavenly Peace.

​​

In worship, kids are welcomed to serve as acolytes, ushers, musicians, and singers.

Each summer kids have fun together at Vacation Bible School.

And kids grow as friends and companions in faith through special trips, camp, lock-ins, and parties!

SUNDAY SCHOOL returns September 13

Kids and Youth ages k-8th gather weekly from September through May at 10:20 a.m. with Opening Music time in the Sanctuary.  Kids participate by age in their designated classrooms for lessons and a bit of fun!

Sunday School dismissal is around 11:30 a.m.   Reach out with questions!

CONFIRMATION 6th grade - 8th grade

Confirmation Class is our extended time of faith formation that helps prepare disciples to affirm their baptismal promises and live lives of faith, hope, and love!

Confirmation begins September 13th and is taught by Pastor Patrick and Brittani Seagren. contact pastor with questions.

FIRST COMMUNION CLASS 2nd grade

First Communion class begins September 13! All 2nd graders or kids who have not yet learned about Holy Communion are welcome to join Pastor Patrick and Laura as we learn about this special meal of God's grace. We will use the book A Place For You and even bake some bread! First Communion is October 4th.
